Aerial thermographic surveys can be used to identify problems or carry out survey work not possible from ground level. Aerial thermographic surveys need high resolution equipment that allows vast landscapes and large building areas to be covered.

An aerial survey can be conducted relatively easily and inexpensively. We can arrange all aspects of the survey leaving you to identify exactly what your issues are and to await a professional and comprehensive report.

Borough or Large Area Mapping

Our very high resolution camera systems allow us to capture images from the air and map out large areas of towns, cities or landscapes. These images can be used by councils to identify areas requiring redevelopment or additional insulation.

Our high resolution cameras allow us to work at height and cover large areas and buildings quickly. We video the survey and collate numerous images to help our highly trained engineers ensure they have the information to allow a correct diagnosis to be made.

Watercourse or Discharge Mapping

We have been used to conduct aerial surveys of water courses and water discharge systems. The image above shows the effects of the water discharge from a power station and can be used by environmental scientists to monitor effects and extents of the discharge.

We have been used to carry out a variety of inspections. Typical applications include:

  • Locating leaks in flat roofs
  • Assessment of heat loss in buildings
  • Animal counts
  • Water course or discharge mapping
  • Location of underground pipe or drainage leaks
  • District or estate heat loss surveys

One of the benefits of a thermographic aerial survey is that a large area of land or buildings can be covered in a short period of time. In addition, the view from above allows us to carry out a much more detailed analysis of your facility which, when produced in a report, is very clear and concise.

Thermographic Survey of a Building from the Air

We can survey individual buildings to ascertain heat loss or water ingress. An aerial view can give a good overall assessment of building performance where a ground based survey may not.

We can arrange all aspects of a thermographic survey making the process very easy but highly beneficial to you. We conduct work to your own requirements or will offer advice on the extent of the survey required.

Prior to a survey we will provide a full risk assessment and method statement detailing how we conduct the thermographic survey and the precautions we take to ensure our work is completed safely and efficiently.
