Aerial Surveys

An aerial survey can be conducted relatively easily and inexpensively. We can arrange all aspects of the survey leaving you to identify exactly what your issues are and to await a professional and comprehensive report.

Surveys can be carried out from helicopters, fixed wing aircraft or extending poles and we are able to detect:

  • Underground Landfill Fires
  • Water / Steam Leaks
  • Large Area Heat Loss Surveys
  • Flat Roof Leaks
  • Heat Loss

Lanfill Fire Surveys

We are able to detect, map and provide accurate locations of underground landfill fires. Surveys are carried out from a helicopter and the information provided allows specialists to have a clear indication of the location and extent of these fires.

Our high specification cameras allow us to work at height and still obtain high quality images of large areas or specific locations. These images provide detailed information which would be impossible from a ground based survey.

Borough or Large Area Mapping

Our very high resolution camera systems allow us to capture images from the air and map out large areas of towns, cities or landscapes. These images can be used by councils to identify areas requiring redevelopment or additional insulation.

We not only use the highest resolution thermal imaging cameras but also have sophisticated software allowing us to create large area thermal maps

Watercourse or Discharge Mapping

We have been used to conduct aerial surveys of water courses and water discharge systems. The image above shows the effects of the water discharge from a power station and can be used by environmental scientists to monitor effects and extents of the discharge.

We can arrange all aspects of a thermographic survey making the process very easy but highly beneficial to you. We conduct work to your own requirements or will offer advice on the extent of the survey required.

Prior to a survey we will provide a full risk assessment and method statement detailing how we conduct the thermographic survey and the precautions we take to ensure our work is completed safely and efficiently.

Thermographic Roof Leak Survey at Macclesfield College

In October 2008 we carried out a thermographic survey of the roof areas at Macclesfield College. The warranty of the new build was due to expire and we were contracted to inspect and report any damage to the roof. Our engineer highlighted 2 water leaks and an area in the glass atrium where air escape was occuring due to a failed seal. The inspection was carried out in one night and a full report was presented to the client within four working days.
