Machine Vibration Analysis

The vibration signature of an operating machine provides a huge amount of information about the inner workings of the equipment.

A bearing or coupling that has even a small defect will cause a change in the machine vibration, as will an imbalance, a misalignment, or any of a range of other faults.

Vibration analysis, properly applied, allows our engineers to detect small developing mechanical defects well before they become a threat to the integrity of the machine, and thus provides the necessary lead time to schedule maintenance to suit the needs of the plant management. In this way, plant management has control over the machines, rather than the other way around.

Our highly experienced Chartered Mechanical Engineer has operated as a Vibration Analysis Professional for many years. We would discuss your requirements and develop an individual program that suits your needs.

Prior to the survey we will provide you with a full risk assessment and method statement detailing how we conduct the survey and the precautions we take to ensure our work is completed safely and efficiently.

The warranty of the new build was due to expire and we were contracted to inspect and report any damage to the roof. Our engineer highlighted 2 water leaks and an area in the glass atrium where air escape was occuring due to a failed seal. The inspection was carried out in one night and a full report was presented to the client within four working days.
